Nitai facilitates Dham Vas for a man-eater

We all know that Nitai gave up the Kundal of His right ear to arrange food for the Nag who used to live in the forest of Ekachakra Dham. This Nag came out of Arjun’s bow when He used the Nag Pash Arrow to save Bhim from Vrikasur. Nitai was asked not to go in the forest but He still went in order to deliver this Nag and remove the fear of Ekachakra vasis. This Lila reminds us of Krishna’s pastime of subjugating Kaliya. Although similar to a great extent, these pastimes differ significantly in a way that highlights Nitai’s inconceivable mercy. While Krishna asked Kaliya to leave Vraj Dham after subjugating Him, Nitai allowed the Nag to stay in His Dham. And in order to facilitate the Nag’s stay in Ekachakra, He gave up His own Kundal. Is it not the height of mercy? Moreover, the Nag had a habit of eating men which is the main reason why everybody feared to enter the forest. This habit can be compared to our anarthas. Nitai gave up His Kundal so that He could arrange food for the Nag as He knew that His Kundal would be worshipped with various offerings, especially milk. By this arrangement, the Nag never again ate any men and gave up its wrong but natural habit permanently. This shows how Nitai removes our anarthas which are so inseparable from us. It is a matter of great astonishment that Nitai gave up His own ornament for facilitating Dham Vas for a Nag who used to eat men alive. Nitai is so fond of giving Dham Vas to everyone as He Himself is the Dham. He likes to give Himself to everyone. This is the meaning of His very name- Nitai!
P.S. : This pastime also reveals the importance of serving pure devotees. Let me explain how. This Nag took birth from the hands of Arjun in order to save Bhim who were both pure devotees. The purpose of its birth was the great service of saving a pure devotee. Even though it could not achieve its purpose but still this earned it a lot of sukriti that He got saved by Nitai Himself after so many years. This pastime teaches us that a momentary association and service of pure devotees ensures that we will also get the Darshan of the Supreme Lord for sure very soon.
