Jiva Goswami meets Nitai (Part 6)

(Kirtana) Srila Nitaichand ki jaya! Srila Navadvipa Dhaam Mahatmaya ki jaya! Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur ki jaya! Srila Jiva Goswami ki jaya! So we were discussing the 19th verse of fourth chapter of Navadvipa Dhaam Mahatmaya yesterday and day before yesterday. Both the days we have discussed this verse. sāttvika-vikāra-pūrṇa jīvera śarīra dekhi’ jīva bali’ sabe karilena sthira [NDM, Chapter 4, Verse 19] So we were discussing how Srila Jiva Goswami ‘s entire transcedental body is filled with ashta saatvik vikaar and the servants of Nityananda Prabhu, they were ordered by Nitai to bring Srila Jiva Goswami to Nitai. So the servants when they saw this divine personality is filled with astha saatvika vikaar, so those servants they immediately recognised that this must be Jiva. No one can manifest such ecstatic transformations other than that person who is described by Nitai’s special mercy. Nitai, He gave that description to the servants, that description is not mentioned in this book obviously. From this we can deduce cause when they saw the ashta saatvik vikaar in Jiva Goswami ‘s transcedental body, then immediately they said: dekhi’ ‘jīva’ bali’ sabe karilena sthira. As soon as Srila Jiva Goswami’s transcedental body is filled with ashta saatvik vikaar, immediately they said ‘Jiva’, immediately that word came from their mouth, ‘Jiva’. This is ‘Jiva’. Why did they say ‘Jiva’ immediately upon seeing the ecstatic symptoms? Because Nitai must have given that description that if you find person whose transcedental body is filled with ashta saatvik vikaar, then you must know then he is definitely Srila Jiva Goswami. Devotees- Haribolll!! In this book, (Hindi) is book mein, granth mein ye varnan to nahi diya. Iss granth mein toh atharvein(18th) shlok me yehi likha hai ki Nitai ne apne daasgano ko aagya diya ki Jiva Goswami ko yaha le aao. ājñā dila dāsa-gaṇe śrī-jīve ānite aneka vaiṣṇava yāya jīve sambodhite [NDM, Chapter 4, Verse 18] So in this granth aisa nahi likha ki Nitai ne Jiva Goswami ka kya varnan dia hai, lekin 19th shlok se hum aisa samajh sakte hai jase Nitai ke paarshado ne, Nitai ke daasgano ne Jiva Goswami ko dekha ek aise vyakti ko dekha jiska poora shareer asthta saatvik vikaar se bhara hua hai, usi samaya unhone apne mukh se ek hi shabda dhwani nikaali. ‘Jiva’! ‘Jiva’! Ye to Jiva hai! Ye to Jiva iska matlab Nitai ne aisa varnan kiya tha ki aisa vyaktitva tumhe dikhai dega jo ashta saatvika vikaaro se bhara hua hoga. dekhi’ jīva bali’ sabe karilena sthira. karilena sthira means now they were fully convinced that this is Jiva, this must be Jiva, let us go near him and let us tell him what Nitai has told us, what Nitai has ordered us. That Nitai has personally sent us to bring you. That you are so special to Nitai. So now the servants of Nitai they are fully convinced that this must be Jiva. He cannot be anyone else. so now they are going near to Jiva Goswami and they are going to tell, convey the order of Nityananda Prabhu and let us see what will be the reaction of Srila Jiva Goswami. And how they told Nitai’s order to Jiva Goswami in the next verse. keha keha āge giyā mahāprema-bhare nityānanda-prabhu-ājñā vijñāpana kare [NDM, Chapter 4, verse 20] (Kirtana) sāttvika-vikāra-pūrṇa ‘śrī-jīvera’ śarīra dekhi’ ‘jīva’ bali’ sabe karilena sthira (NDM, Chapter 4, verse 19) So these ashta saatvik vikaar, this is the identity proof, id card of Srila Jiva Goswami. Like we discussed that day for ordinary vaishnavas, the identity proof, the identity card may be a tilaka or a kanthi mala. Mala, tilak in 12 places on the body and kanthi mala and a shikha, dhoti, kurta. This type of dress marks on the body they allow everyone else to recognise a vaishnava. That is the identity proof. But for pure devotees, for extraordinary vaishnavas, the defining feature is the ashta saatvik vikaar. There may be tilak and kanthi mala and dhoti and kurta and shikha even on the body of the extraordinary vaishnava, but the defining characteristic is ‘ashta saatvik vikaar’. That is the speciality which will not be found in the bodies of the ordinary vaishnavas. So the servants they could confirm the identity. Like we check the id card, if confirmed a green signal is there, if it is not confirmed, it’s a red signal. So they saw that Srila Jiva Goswami’s body was trembling, shedding tears in ecstacy, having goosebumps, his voice was chocking, his body color was changing, he was crying and he was getting unconscious. They saw with their own eyes and then they confirmed the identity of Srila Jiva Goswami. And when they saw this ashta saatvik vikaar, you know this is the rare achievement in human life to attain the ashta saatvik vikaar, so when they saw this ashta saatvik vikaar in the body of Jiva Goswami, externally they were saying this is Jiva but internally they were saying this is Nityasidhha Jiva. Devotees-Haribolll!! Internally they realised ‘No, this is not a baddha jiva, baddha jiva cannot experience such ecstacy, my dear friends!’. With their eyes they were talking to each other. They looked into each other’s eyes and then they were confirming. ‘Oho!!Nityasidhha has come in Navadvipa, a badhha jiva has not come to meet Nitai. See our Lord is so special, our master Nitai is so special. That not only baddha jiva come to meet our Lord, our master but even Nityasiddha Jiva’s hanker so much to attain the darshan, the service of Doyal Nitai. Devotees- Haribooolll!! (Hindi) Nitai ke daasgan, Nitai ke paarshad apne netron se ek dusre se baat cheet kar re hai. Apni drishti se ek dusre ki ankhon me aankhein daalke, ek dusre ko keh rahe hai- ‘Koi bhaddha jiva nahi aaya. Nitai se milne ye ashta saatvik vikaar purna shareer dekhkar aisa maalum padta hai ki ek Nityasidhha jiva aaya hai. Ispe garva hona chahiye ki humare Prabhu Nitai se baddha jiva toh milne aate hi hai par uchh koti ke Mahabhagvat nityasiddha bhi humare Nitai ke charno ki sewa ke nirantar abhilaashi hai, ke liye tadapte hai. Nitai ke charano ke darshana ke liye, badhha jiva hi nahi tadapte balki Nityasiddha jiva bhi tadapte hai. We all are like fish out of water when ‘we’ don’t have the service of Nitai, but here ‘we’ not only includes the badhha jivas but also includes the eternally liberated souls Even the eternally liberated souls, the mahabhagvats, they also feel like fish out of water when they are not able to get the service of Nitai. When they are not able to get the darshan of Nitai. Such is the position of Doyal Nitai. Doyal Nitai! Doyal Nitai! Doyal Nitai! (Kirtana) So I hope it is still audible to all those who are listening live online. Another point I would like to discuss from this 19th verse of saatvik vikaar purna. Dekhi Jiva boli. This word jiva is very striking here. Whenever you hear this word ‘Jiva’ especially for Jiva Goswami, the only philosophical point that should come in your mind is that no matter you are a ordinary jiva or extraordinary jiva, no matter you are a neophyte soul or an advanced soul, you are a soul. And for all souls, Nitai’s mercy and Nitai’s service is mandatory. This word is not specifying Nityasiddha jiva or Nityabaddha jiva. This is just one word jiva. So why am I discussing this point from different angle is that there are some devotees those who think that we are so advanced or we have been in Krishna consciousness for so many years, we don’t need to approach Nitai or Balarama. We don’t need the mercy of Nitai. We will do Radha Krishna bhajan. We will meditate on the pastimes, the eternal pastimes of Radha Krishna. We will read the pastimes of Radha Krishna. We will discuss the high level books which contain the position of Radha Krishna. Radhe-Shyama. RadheShyama. We don’t need Nitai, we don’t need Balarama. That is for the new comers.’ There are some devotees who think like this. asatyere satya kori māni ahańkāre matta hoiyā, nitāi-pada pāsariyā (Nitai Pada Kamala by Srila Narottama Das Thakur) Narottam is saying. Here Jiva is saying, there Narottama is saying. heno nitāi bine bhāi, rādhā-kṛṣṇa pāite nāi nitāiyer koruṇā habe, braje rādhā-kṛṣṇa pābe (Nitai Pada Kamala by Srila Narottama Das Thakur) Automatically you will get Radha-Krishna, simply by receiving the mercy of Nitai. So never think you are too high for Nitai. You are never too high in bhakti for Nitai. Just keep this point in your mind. (Hindi) Aap kabhi bhi itni uchai pe nahi pahuchne wale jaha pe aakar Nitai ki avashyakta hi nahi. Aisi koi uchai nahi jahan apko Nitai nahi chahiye. Chaahe kitne bhi bade bhakta ban jaa, apko har avastha mein, har uchayi mein Nitai chahiye agar aapko is janam me RadhaKrishna ke darshan chahiye. Isliye yaha par word use kia gaya hai ‘jiva’. Isliye humein yaad dilana chahiye ki yahan jiva ke aage nityasiddha ya Nityabaddha nahi likha hai, yaani for all categories of living entities, Nitai’s mercy is mandatory. This point should be clear in your mind. dekhi’ ‘jīva’ bali’ sabe karilena sthira. So it is time for us to now move onto the next verse. keha keha āge giyā mahāprema-bhare nityānanda-prabhu-ājñā vijñāpana kare [NDM, Chapter 4, Verse 20] keha keha means out of all the servants, someone came filled with great prema, mahaprema bhare. keha keha means someone. age giya means came forward and mahaprema bhare means great prema, with great love. What did he do? nityānanda-prabhu-ājñā vijñāpana kare. That person that devotee they told Jiva Goswami about Nityananda’s order. So they were themselves stunned upon seeing Jiva Goswami. They could not do anything. They could not react to the divine darshan they had of Srila Jiva Goswami. The only thing which they did, they were saying ‘Jiva! Jiva! Yeh to Jiva…’ but they could not move they become emotionless. They saw such extraordinary beauty and such extraordinary bhakti such extraordinary ecstacy. (Hindi) Unhone itna alaukik saundarya dekha, itna alaukik vyaktitva dekha, itni alaukik bhakti dekhi aur itne alaukik saatvik vikaar dekhe ki wo kuch kar ni paaye. Sirf mukh se bol re hai ‘Jiva! Jiva! Jiva!’. Lekin hil nahi paaye, kuch kar nahi paaye, woh drishye ko dekhkar woh dang reh gaye, woh numb ho gaye. They became numb. Then after sometime they finally decided we have to focus on our sewa. We have to focus on our service. You know sometimes it happens that in ecstacy, we forget our service. At that time what should be given more priority. What should be given more priority? Obviously service! Service is the inseparable function of all living entities. Jaiva dharma is to serve Krishna, is to serve Srimati Radharani, is to serve Nitai-Gaura. That is the dharma of the soul. Dharma means that function which cannot be seperated. Like heat is the dharma of fire. Can you separate heat from fire? Is it possible? Or cold from ice? Have you ever seen hot ice or cold fire? You will never see. That is the dharma. Similarly ecstacy, saatvik vikaar is not the dharma of the soul. The dharma of the soul is to serve. The saatvik vikaar is a product, is an effect of serving Nitai-Gaura Radha-Krishna sincerely, wholeheartedly in a pure manner. If you will serve Nitai-Gaura Radha-Krishna via NitaiVayulekhan or Hare Krishna Mahamantra chanting, you serve Nitai-Gaura RadhaKrishna, then ecstacy you will get naturally. But that ecstacy is not your primary function. Your primary function is to serve. So if that ecstacy deviates you from your primary function, then you have to make a deliberate effort to control your ecstacy and get back to the service. (Hindi) Jeeva ka mukhya dharma hai bhagwan ki sewa karna or dil se, shudhta se jab woh bhagwaan ki sewa karta hai, Nitai-Gaura aur Radha-Krishna ki toh uske shareer mein yeh saatvik vikaar aate hai. Usko romaanch hota hai, uski aankhon me ashru aate hai. Toh yeh uska phal hai, dil se ki gayi sewa ka. Toh agar aapko romanch aa rahe hai, ashru aa rahe hai, aapke shareer mein kampan ho raha hai, aur isse aapki sewa mein baadha aa jati hai, toh apko ek prayaas karna hoga apne saatvik vikaaro ko niyantrit karne ka aur aapko punah apni sewa pe dhyan kendrit karna hoga. Like there is a servant of Lord Krishna, he used to fan Krishna. Krishna used to sit on His throne and he is used to fan Krishna. While looking at Krishna, that personality was more beautiful than millions of cupids. By looking at Madan Mohana he used to get ecstasy partly from the service and partly from the darshana of Krishna. He used to get ecstatic and then his hands, they started trembling. Sometimes he used to get stunned and sometimes tears, they were flowing with such a force that he was not able to even see Krishna. That is why he was fanning somewhere else, he was not fanning Krishna anymore. He was fanning just the air. Nobody was there. He realised that because of this ecstacy my service is getting hampered. It is getting obstructed. This is not right. This is not good. I should get back to service. So deliberate effort from his side to control his ecstacy. ‘No no no, I will not even look at even Krishna but I will fan Krishna. If I will look with so much love, then I will again get such ecstacy, then I will not be able to fan Krishna. So I will not look at Krishna. I’ll just fan Him. Or I will keep on blinking my eyes. (Hindi) Taaki baakey bihaari se jyada der tak nain se nain na mil jaaye. Nain ke nain se jab milan hota hai toh shareer me romanch na ho jaaye. Or romanch hone se meri sewa na ruk jaaye. Bhagwan ke sevak ne aisa, sashatkaar unke hridye mein hua ki meri ashruon ki dhaara se, main Bhagwan ko nahi, balki kissi aur ko, hawa ko pankha kar raha hun. Kyunki woh ashruon mujhe Bhagwan ko dekhne nahi de rahe. Itni tivrata se beh rahe hai ki mujhe dikhayi nahi de rahe Bhagwan toh main kahin aur hi pankha kar raha hun. Ya mere shareer ke kampane se ya mere shareer ke numb ho jaane se, mera pankha ruk jaa rha hai. Main Bhagwan ko pankha nahi kar paa raha. Toh us bhakta ne aisa mehsoos kiya apne hridye mein. Usne kaha nahi mujhe ye anand ko rokna hoga chahe mujhe Krishna se nazar kyun na pherni pade, par mujhe apna pankha nirantar ache se karna hoga. Mujhe apni sewa pe dhyaan dena hoga. Chaahe mujhe Bhagwan se nazar hatani padi. Kyunki nazar lagaye rakhunga toh anand badta jaaega fir dobara numb ho jaaunga. Dobara apne sewa se dhyaan kho bethunga. So this is another hidden lesson which we can learn from this line. keha-keha āge giyā mahā- prema-bhare. They were getting ecstacy upon seeing Goswami because Jiva Goswami was so much in ecstacy. And I have this proof, this word mahaprema bhare. mahā-prema-bhare means this is their ecstacy. If you are in mahaprema, if you are in prema then also you will be in ecstacy. If you are in mahaprema then you will not be in ecstasy? You will definitely be in ecstacy but they decided that they have to focus on their sewa. Nitai has ordered us to bring Jiva and we are relishing the mahaprema. (Hindi) Yeh jo shabd likha hai mahaprema, yeh pramana hai ki Nitai ke sab sevako ko bhi ashta saatvik vikaar hone lage Jiva Goswami ko dekhkar aur jis kaaran wo apni sewa ko bhoolne lage ki humein Jiva se Nitai ka milan karaana hai. Jaise hum apne taatparye ke kaaran bhool jaate hai, humara tatparye hi chalta rehta hai. 6 din se chal rha hai lekin Jiva aur Nitai ka milan nahi ho paa raha. Aaj part 6 hai, humein bhi focus karna chahiye apni seva par. Jiva aur Nitai ka jaldi milan karaana chahiye. Toh fir unhone aapas me decide kiya ki bhai nahi acha hai hume mahaprema aa rha hai Jiva ko dekhke lekin humein Nitai ki aagya ko dhyaan mein rakhna hai. Humein Jiva ko jaake Nitai ka sandesh de dena chahiye ab. Bahut der ho gayi hai. Jiva bhi mahaprema mein hai, hum bhi mahaprema mein hai aur sewa bhool gaye Nitai ki. So this is one lesson which we have to keep in mind. I am giving this lesson why? Because when we do NitaiVayulekhan, then you definitely get ecstasy. This lesson is not for ordinary Krishna bhaktas, this lesson is for Nitaivayulekhaks. This lesson is for the practitioners of Nitaivayulekhan. Because ordinary Krishna bhaktas, they rarely get ecstasy but Nitaivayulekhaks they rarely do not get ecstasy. Devotees- Jaya! Haribooolll! (Hindi) Aisa kabhi hi hota hai jab unko ecstacy nahi aati Krishna bhakto ke saath jo Nitai ka aashrey nahi lete, aisa kabhi hi hota hai jab unko ecstacy aati hai. Isliye I am giving this instruction in detail. Even if you get ecstacy via Nitaivayulekhan, like we all were getting ecstatic before the katha while doing Nitaivayulekhan. Three of us were sitting, we were doing NitaiVayulekhan and we were getting ecstacy and we did not want to start the programme only. We wanted to do Nitaivayulekhan only. But we stopped and we focussed on our sewa. From 8-9 we have to do telecast. So we have to stop our ecstacy and we have to concentrate on katha. And the katha will give us ecstacy. The kirtan will give us ecstacy. And it is already giving us ecstacy. Nitai kirtan we are doing in between. This is an important lesson and the lesson which we derived from that verse ājñā dila dāsa-gaṇe śrī-jīve ānite [NDM, Chapter 4, Verse 18] Last to last day, day before yesterday that Nitai gave this order to His servants so that His servants could develop faith for Jiva Goswami, could develop attachment for Jiva Goswami, could develop love for Jiva Goswami and we derive that lesson that if you will do NitaiVayulekhan regularly and sincerely, then you will realise that your love for devotees has increased. Love for other Nitai Bhaktas has increased. Love for all living entities has increased. That is why it is said you know they had mahaprema for Jiva. ‘Jiva’ means everyone. This word jiva is so special. So if you will take shelter of Nitai then your love for everyone will increase. This is a quote by Srila Nitaipreshthji Gurudev. When you increase your love for Nitai, you can love everyone. But if you will try to love everyone you will disappointingly fail. You will never be able to love everyone, just love Nitai by NitaiVayulekhan and your love for everyone will increase. Especially for devotees which is most required. Your love for devotees is most required. For others compassion is required. For others also you will have love, for non-devotees then you will start associating with them, then you will also become non-devotee. So for others compassion is required. Jiva daya and vaishnava sewa and for serving vaishnavas, prema for vaishnavas is required. And if prema is not there then there are two options. Still serve vaishnavas because by serving vaishnavas only your envy will reduce, then you will get prema for vaishanavas. Or the other option is to do NitaiVayulekhan. (Hindi)Baaki sansaarik jeevon pe, abhakto pe, daya honi chahiye, karuna honi chahiye aur bhakto se prema hona chahiye. Jeeva daya aur vaishanava sewa. Aur vaishnava sewa karne ke lie bhi, vaishnava prema hona chahiye. Aur agar prema nahi hai to bhi vaishnava sewa karni chahiye kyunki vaishnava sewa karne se hi humari vaishanavo ke prati irsha, dwesha khatam hota hai aur humare hridaye mein prema utpana hota hai aur yeh pehla tareeka hai Vaishnavo se prema paida karne ka. Aur dusra tareeka kya hai? NitaiVayulekhan. NitaiVayulekhan is the panacea. Cure for all. Cure for all, for all problems, for everyone. All here means all problems and the second meaning of all is everyone. Cure for all and all means all problems and all people, all living entities, everyone. So you should remember Nitaivayulekhan is cure for all and all has double meaning. So Nitai’s mercy is essential for increasing your love for devotees and love for devotees is essential for increasing your love for Nitai. If you will start loving devotees wholeheartedly then you realise that your love for Nitai is increasing. This does not apply necessarily for all living entities. That if you start loving all living entities then your love for Nitai is increased. But if you start increasing your love for devotees of Nitai, then your love for Nitai will increase and if your love for Nitai is increased by doing Nitaivayulekhan then your love for devotees of Nitai will increase. Devotees-Haribooolll!! Is that clear? What is the proof? Again this proof mahaprema bhare. In the 18 th verse Nitai is ordering his servants. ‘Go and bring Jiva to me’ and I gave that purport that Nitai is ordering like this so that the love of the devotees, the servants of Nitai for Jiva that should increase and the proof here is that the word mahaprema is used. When Nitai ordered the servants they had prema for jiva immediately because they are not pseudo disciples like us. They are not pseudo servants. Immediately they got prema for Jiva when they received the order of Nitai. Because for ideal disciple, hearing is sufficient, seeing is not required. Seeing will only add. Seeing will not form the basis for the result. An ideal disciple will get result simply by hearing from his Guru because of his unshakable faith, strong faith in his Guru’s vani. So immediately they got prema. That is why the word mahaprema is used here. That immediately upon receiving the order of Nitai they got prema for Jiva and after seeing Jiva, the saatvik vikaar, after confirming his identity and seeing such ecstacy, the prema became mahaprema. So getting that prema in their heart was possible simply by getting Nitai’s order. Seeing Jiva Goswami practically was not required. By seeing Jiva Goswami their prema magnified. Their prema was not born at that time. Their prema was born when Nitai ordered them that a special personality is coming to meet Me. Please go and receive him. Immediatley they got prema. That prema was born immediately. We should have so much faith in our Guru’s vaani. We always doubt our Guru’s vaani. That is why we get delayed results in bhakti. That is why we have to wait to actually see because we are not able to get the result when we hear. When the servants saw Jiva, they got increased results. When they heard their master, their Guru Nitai then they got the results. When they saw Jiva, the results increased. But for us, when we hear from our Guru, we don’t get any result and then we have to wait and wait and wait to actually see and the truth is that we will never see if you don’t have faith in your Guru. If you don’t have faith in the vani of your Guru, just keep on waiting for lives after lives. You will see nothing, what to speak of increased results. You will not get any results. (Hindi) Result hi nahi milega result badega to baad mein agar Guru ki vaani mein shraddha hi nahi hai. Nitai ke bhakto ko apni Guru ki vaani mein shraddha thi, apne Prabhu ki vaani me shraddha thi isliye sunne matra se unko prema mil gaya or jab unhone Jiva ko dekha to Prema, Mahprema ban gaya. Unka jo parinaam mil gaya sunne matra se, woh parinaam badh gaya dekhne se. Lekin hum jaise pseudo disciples, nakli shishaye, hum sunne se kabhi vishwaas nahi karte. Hum sochte hai dekhna padega. Or jab hum vishwaas nahi karte, toh humein kabhi dikhta hi nahi. To parinaam badhega kya, parinaam milega hi nahi agar apni Guru ki vaani mein shraddha nahi hogi. Ek bahut mehetvapurna sidhhant me aapke saamne prastut kar raha hoon. This is a very important principle we have to keep in mind. That if you are expecting results in bhakti, if you taking out time for your saadhna every day and if you are sacrificing something for bhakti and you are expecting some results in return, then My dear friends do have faith, unshakable faith in the vaani of your Guru, you will definitely get the results. If you lack that essential faith in the vaani of your Guru, then you will never get any result no matter how much you sacrifice, no matter how much time you are taking out every day, how much years you do this, continue to this, you will never get any result if you don’t have faith in the vaani of your Guru. This is another hidden lesson which we can derive from the first line of 20th shlok and the first line of 18th shlok. The first line of 18th shlok is ājñā dila dāsa-gaṇe śrī-jīve ānite keha. This is the first line of 18th shlok and the first line of 20th shlok is keha keha āge giyā mahāprema-bhare. We have derived this principle from these two lines. Mahaprema has given us a hint that earlier they had prema, now they have mahaprema and ājñā dila dāsa-gaṇe is our, you know the argument, the chief argument that Nitai has ordered His servants. That is why He increased the love of the devotees of His servants for Jiva in an indirect way. He increased the love. I hope it is not getting too technical for all of you. It is an important sidhhanta so I am discussing in detail. I just hope that you all have understood what I am trying to say. It is already 9 pm, time for us to wind up this live session. NITAI IS YOURS

Is by Krishna and is for Krishna. All other religious traditions and organizations, spiritual sects they agree to this point only that this entire creation is ‘of God’ and ‘by God’. But the Vaishnavasim, the core Vaishnava philosophy is laying emphasis. Mukund Vasudev and Chotha Haridas and so many associates of Mahaprabhu were there, but Mahaprabhu gave the responsibility of delivering the fallen souls only to Nitai. And He said Nitai – ‘You take your sakha, You take Your associates and You deliver and You give the highest love to all fallen souls.’ So the first meaning of Nitai is ‘I am Yours’. This is Nitai’s philosophy. You don’t have to say ‘I am Yours’, Nitai will say ‘I am Yours’. And the second meaning is ‘Take Me’. That is why Srila Locana Das Thakur, he writes in that bhajana,
akrodha paramānanda nityānanda rāya abhimāna śūnya nitāi nagare beḍāya adhama patita jīvera dvāre dvāre giyā harināma mahā-mantra dicchena bilāiyā And in the end of this bhajana, Locana Das Thakur is sayinghena avatāre jā’ra rati nā janmila locana bale sei pāpī ela āra gela
That if you don’t get attached to such a Lord like Nitai, then you are the most sinful person. You are papi if you don’t get attached to Nitai, who is not expecting you to do anything, who is ready to do everything for you, who is ready to overlook all your faults, all your mistakes, all your offenses, all your anarthas. He is ready to overlook all and still you only wish to get attached to Radharani and Banke Bihari and Gaursundara, who first want you to get purified, who first want you to get rid of all the offenses, the 10 dhama apradha, the 10 nama apradha, the 64 seva apradha and then the anarthas mentioned in Madhurya Kadambini and other scriptures. There are so many things we need to get rid of to be accepted by Gaura Radha-Krishna as Their own. But there is nothing, absolutely nothing, no qualification, no eligibility criteria laid down by Nitai to accept you as His own. Absolutely nothing! And still you don’t want to get attached to Nitai. There is one nama apradha that if you hear the glories of the Hari nama and you don’t get attached to Hari nama, then that is also an offense. Similarly if you come to know about Nitai (aside: Sri Sri Gaura Nitai ki Jaya) you come to know about Nitai, the most merciful Lord of the entire creation in past, present and future and if you don’t get attached then you are the most sinful. hena avatāre jā’ra rati nā janmila locana bale sei pāpī ela āra gela ela āra gela means he came and he went. His life was waste. That person who did not get attached to Nitai, this crazy Lord Nitai, this unique form of the Godhead, then his entire life is waste and he is the most sinful. No other sins are going to keep you away from Gaura Radha-Krishna, only this sin is going to keep you away from Gaura Radha-Krishna – this sin is not getting attached to Nitai. Jagai and Madhai were performing all sinful acts in Navadvipa dhama, but what Bhaktivinoda Thakur writes in Navadvipa Dhama Mahatmaya? He writes- navadvīpe śata śata aparādha kari’ anāyāse nitāi kṛpāya yāya tari’ (Chapter 1, Glories of Dhama, Verse 57) Even if you perform hundreds of sins in Navadvipa, you will be instantly forgiven and delivered by Doyal Nitai. anāyāse nitāi kṛpāya yāya tari’, navadvīpe śata śata aparādha kari. śata śata means hundreds of offenses. Navadvipe. anāyāse means very easily, very quickly. anāyāse nitāi kṛpāya yāya tari’. tari means you will be delivered. And the proof is Jagai and Madhai. brajendra-nandana jei, śacī-suta hoilo sei, balarāma hoilo nitāi dīna-hīna jata chilo, hari-nāme uddhārilo, tāra śākṣī jagāi mādhāi golokera prema-dhana, hari-nāma-sańkīrtana, rati nā janmilo kene tāy hā hā prabhu nanda-suta, vṛṣabhānu-sutā-juta, koruṇā karoho ei-bāro narottama-dāsa koy, nā ṭheliho rāńgā pāy, tomā bine ke āche āmāra Doyal Nitaaaaii!!!! Doyal Nitaaaaii!!! (Hari Hari Biphale Janama Bhajan by Srila Narottama Das Thakur) So this bhajana is by Narottama Dasa only. narottama-dāsa koy, nā ṭheliho rāńgā pāy. Narottama Dasa is saying – “Please don’t keep me away from Your Lotus Feet. Oh Nitai Gaura Radhe-Shyama! Please keep me close to Your Lotus Feet.” tomā bine ke āche āmāra. “There is no one in my entire life who I can call as my own. Only You I can call as my own.” tomā bine ke āche āmāra. āmāra’ bolite prabhu! āre kichu nāi. (Amar Bolite Prabhu by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur). I cannot call anyone as my own. Everybody is in their own. Nobody is there for anyone in this world. Only Nitai Gaura and Radha-Krishna are yours. The vaishnavas, the devotees of Nitai Gaura RadhaKrishna are yours, the spiritual master, the spiritual masters, the shiksha gurus and the diksha gurus and the vaishnavas, and Nitai Gaura Radhe-Shyama, They are yours. tomā bine ke āche āmāra. So the proof is that Nitai delivered Jagai and Madhai despite all their disqualifications. They were the epitome of sin. They had reached the height of sin. They used to perform murders and robberies and rapes and what not? All kind of sinful activities they would indulge in. But just because they happened to come in contact with Nityananda. Just because of their contact with Nitai, they got an entry in that Srivasa Angana in which a 25 year veteran brahmachari couldn’t enter, who was only drinking milk for 25 years, he was not performing any sin, but that brahmachari did not receive the mercy of Nitai. He was sinless, but he had that ego that I am a brahmachari, I only drink milk. He was not allowed that Srivasa Angana. Many great pandits and scholars and brahamins of Navadvipa were not allowed inside Srivasa Angana, but those two heroes of sins, Jagai and Madhai. Hero or villain? (laughs) Villians! Those two greatest villians of Navadvipa, they were allowed inside Srivasa Angana in one day. One day before they were the greatest sinners and within 24 hours, they were inside Srivasa Angana. That is Nitaaaiiii!! Devotees- Haribooolll!! That is the mercy, the kripa siddhi of Doyal Nitai. Their destination was the Sudarsan Chakra. That was the only gati of Jagai and Madhai. But by Nitai’s interference and Nitai’s, you know, protection Jagai and Madhai, He finally compelled Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to embrace Jagai and Madhai. He wanted to severe the heads. He wanted to use His chakra on Jagai and Madhai. But by Nitai’s merciful interference they were finally in the arms of Gaursundara. In the arms! Can you imagine?
That is why Nitai is known as agatira gati nitāi sādhu loke bole. dayā koro more nitāi, dayā koro more agatira gati nitāi sādhu loke bole (Doya Koro More Nitai by Kanu Ramadasa Thakura) A real Vaishnava, a real Guru, a real preacher, a real sadhu should only emphasize on the importance of Nitai because rest everything Nitai will give. What can we do? We can’t do anything. Bhaktivinoda Thakur is sayingkarama geyana, kichu nahi mora, sadhana bhajana nai tumi krpa-moya, ami to kangala, ahaituki krpa cai (Bhajana Lalsa by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur) What is Bhaktivinoda Thakur saying? He is saying that just accept that you can’t do sadhana, you can’t do bhajana, you don’t have karma, you don’t have jnana, you don’t have any qualification or yogyata to attain Gauranga and Radha-Shyama. You can only consider yourself as a kangaal and as a beggar and you can start begging for ahaituki kripa means causeless mercy because there is no cause to give you mercy. Even though he himself was performing a lot of sadhana but even if you perform sadhana, you should always consider your sadhana as zero. On the strength of sadhana, you can never attain the Lord. Sadhana is to keep you disciplined. Sadhana is to teach you, you know how to engage your senses in the service of the Lord. But attainment of the Lord is impossible without mercy. And who is the Lord of mercy? Doyal Nitai! Soheno nitai bine bhai, radha-krishna paite nai dridha kori’ dharo nitair pay (Nitai Pada Kamla by Srila Narottama Das Thakur) I will not explain the meaning of Nityananda today. I will only discuss Nitai. Nitai is saying ‘I am yours’. There is so much intimacy, there is no gap between the soul and the God. When Nitai comes into the picture, there is no you know, level difference. In fact He takes a lower position than you. And you are the lowest of all. You are the most fallen. But He will accept a lower position than you and then He will approach you. Gauranga Radhe-Shyama will always remain above you but Nitai will accept a lower position than you. He will fall on the ground. dante tṛṇa dhari’ Nitai dante tṛṇa dhari’ (Akrodha Paramananda by Srila Locana Das Thakur).
Which Lord has placed straw between His teeth and fallen at the feet of the fallen souls? No Lord has placed straw in His teeth. Rupa and Sanatana placed straw in their teeth when they approached Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. But Nitai placed a straw in His teeth when He approaches the most degraded fallen souls of Kaliyuga. Can you imagine? jā’re dekhe tā’re kahe dante tṛṇa dhari’ ‘āmāre kiniyā laha. āmāre kiniyā laha means – ‘Please buy Me. Please purchase Me. I am for sale. Purchase Me. Just worship Gaursundara.’ That is the meaning of Nitai. ‘Take Me. Purchase Me. Buy Me.’ That is the meaning of Nitai. There is so much intimacy between the fallen souls and Nitai that there is no wall or barrier which stops you from getting, you know getting the ashta sattvik vikara from Nitai. You can very easily get the ashta sattvik vikara from Nitai. Every other Lord will first test you. You have to pass the test and then you will be rewarded with the ashta sattvik vikara. First the other Lord will tempt you, give you material enjoyment, when you reject that. bhukti-mukti-spriha yavat pishaci (Srila Rupa Goswami in Bhakti-rasamrita-sindhu 1.2.22). When you consider the desire for sense enjoyment as witches, then only Krishna will say that you are fit to receive the sandrananda-visheshatma shri-krishnakarshini ca sa. klesha-ghni shubhada moksha-laghuta-krit sudurlabha sandrananda-visheshatma shri-krishnakarshini ca sa (Shrila Rupa Gosvami, Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu 1.17) The six symptoms of pure bhakti, you know the six results of pure bhakti. First you have to show Krishna that you want nothing but Krishna, then only Krishna will give you the highest kind of sandrananda-visheshatma. sandrananda, the highest ananda. But Nitai, His name is Nityananda. In His name only ananda is there. He is the only Lord who has the word ananda in his name. Only Lord! Nityaaananda!! Ananda is present in His name. name nityananda tumi, rupe nityananda; ei tumi nityananda rama murttimanta (Chaitanya-bhagavata, Madhya-khanda 12.18) And ananda, bliss is the ultimate goal. Ananda and love. Ultimate goal for all living entities. And ananda is present eternally in Nitai because He is Nityananda. Even Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s ananda gets increased in the association of Nityananda. It is mentioned in Chaitanya Mangala. Mahaprabhu is saccidananda vigraha but when Nitai enters that hall where Mahaprabhu is sitting, then Mahaprabhu ananda increases. So Nitai has the capacity to increase the pleasure, the bliss of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. So can’t He increase your bliss? Instant bliss comes when we chant Nityananda, when you write Nitai’s name, when you sing Nitai’s name somehow or the other. That is Narottama Dasa Thakur says nitai na bolilo mukhe, majilo samsara-sukhe (Nitai Pada Kamala). He is saying that you are not tasting the real nectar and you are, you know running after material happiness. What happiness can materialistic sense objects give you, which Nitai’s name can’t give you? So why are you not chanting Nitai’s name? nitai na bolilo mukhe, why are you not moving your tongue to chant Nitai and why are you running after the samsara sukha which is in brackets dukha? Sukha and within brackets dukha. (Laughs) And whatever is written in the brackets is the real meaning, whithin the parentheses. Samsara sukha is dukha. vidya-kule ki koribe tar. se sambandha nahi ja’r, britha janma gelo ta’r heno avatare jara rati na janmilo lochan bole sei papi elo ara gelo (Hindi) Koi papa is samsara mein Gaura Radha-Krishna se aapko door rakhne ki shakti nahi rakhta jab tak aap Nitai ke sambandha mein ho. Aur aap sabse adhik Papa shunya hokar bhi agar Nitai ke sampark mein nhi aaoge toh bhi aap Gaur Radha-Krishna ko nahi prapta kar sakte. Kaliyuga mein papa koi ayogyata nhi hai. Proof hai Jagai aur Madhai sabse bade papi. Unko bhi Gaura RadhaKrishna mille. Nitai ki Daya se. So sabse mahatvapoorna shiksha yehi hai ki first of all realise your connection with Nitai. se sambandha nahi ja’r. You have to realise your connection with Nitai.
And why am I again saying there is intimacy! There is intimacy! I can give the proof for that, that in no other bhajana Narottama Dasa Thakur has said that you ‘grab’ the Lotus Feet of the Lord. He is only saying that you keep me `close’ to your Lotus Feet. ha ha prabhu nanda-suta, vrishabhanu-suta-juta, koruna karoho ei-baro narottama-dasa koy, na theliho ranga pay, toma bine ke ache amara (Hari Hari Biphale Janama) Keep me ‘close’ Your Lotus Feet but he is never saying that you can ‘catch’ the Lotus Feet because you are not qualified. You are not even qualified to see the Lotus Feet of Radharani what to speak of touching and grabbing and catching. In the entire year only once or twice you have the darshana of Radha’s Lotus feet, what to speak of catching. And it is never advised by any Acharya in the bhajana that you go and grab the lotus feet. But in this bhajana it is a very you know unique sidhantha or it is a very unique understanding by Narottama Dasa Thakur, he is trying to give the siksha that nitaiyer koruna habe, braje radha-krsna pabe, dharo nitaiyer charana du’ khani (Nitai Pada Kamala) Dukhani means with both your hands. Dharo means CATCH NITAI’S LOTUS FEET. Can you actually touch the Supreme Personality of Godhead in your degraded position? And it is not saying that first you get purified or you get brahmana diksha or this or that qualification and then you can touch Nitai, for all readers of his bhajana, he is giving this instruction. Catch the Lotus Feet of Nitai. No problem. You are qualified because there is no consideration of qualification.
(Hindi) Aap kissi Bhagvan ke jakr paer aise pakar nhi sakte. Aur na kissi Acharya ne aisa updesha diya ki jakar pakadlo. Sirf Nitai ke charano ko pakadne ka updesha diya gaya hai kyunki Nitai ke charano ko koi bhi pakad sakta hai. Nitai ke charano ko pakadne ke liye apko brahmana diksha lene ki avashyakta nahi hai. Apko koi yogyata nahi chahiye. And this is a very deep line. nitaiyer charana satya, tahara sevaka nitya, nitai-pada sada koro asa And drdha kori dharo nitaira paya and then he is saying dharo nitaiyer charana du’ khani. And in the first line he is saying nitai-pada-kamala. This entire bhajana is you know full of Nitai’s charana. Everywhere he is first of all saying that Nitai’s Lotus feet are more cooling than millions of moons. Then he is saying without Nitai you cannot attain Radha-Krishna, so ‘catch’ Nitai’s Lotus feet. Then he is saying that when Nitai will be merciful on you, then you will automatically attain Vraja dhama, you will see the chinmaya dhama, you will see the real dhama. Your transcendental eyes, senses will awaken and you will see Radha and Krishna. braje radha-krsna pabe. So dharo nitaiyer charana du’ khani. Then he is saying that nitai-pada sada koro asa. Then in the last line he is saying narottama bodo duhkhi, nitai more koro sukhi; rakho ranga-charanera pasa. The entire bhajana means take shelter of Nitai. The entire bhajana the only crux, the jist of the bhajana is that just take shelter of Nitai. Lotus Feet means you have to take the shelter of entire Nitai. You cannot take the shelter of Lotus feet exclusively. You have to take shelter of Nitai. Narottama Dasa Thakur is saying.
Today a miracle happened with me and Nitai seva dasa Prabhu. We did not know that today is disappearance day of Narottama Dasa Thakur. We in the afternoon decided to go to teen Goswami Samadhi and we’ll do some japa and Vayulekhan and some bhajana and then we went out of our ashrama and then we went to Kundeshvar Mahadev and we did dandavat to Radhakund Shyamakund and when we stood up, I got an inspiration, I don’t know how that today I should do bhajana in Narottama Dasa Thakur’s cave here. Have you seen Narottama Dasa Thakur’s cave here in Radhakund? Who has seen? Narottama Dasa Thakur’s bhajana kutir where he performed bhajana after disappearance of Pancha Tattva. Narottama Dasa Thakur came and he stayed in that cave and he performed bhajana. He used to cry day and night. So that cave is there in Radhakund. So out of the blue moon, I never get that desire. Today only, and I did not even know that today is the disappearance of Narottama Dasa Thakur. I suddenly got that inspiration on the banks of Radhakund. I was standing and then I came back. From Radhakund I came back and went inside the cave with Nitai seva dasa prabhuji. Then after chanting two rounds of Hare Krishna Mahamantra, I suddenly got an inspiration to recite Narottama Prabhor ashtakam written by Vishwanath Chakravarti Thakur. An ashtakam, eight verses in glorification of Narottama Dasa Thakur but there was no network in the phone, so I specially requested my friend Nitai seva dasa Prabhu to go to upstairs where network is coming and open Narottama Prabhor ashtakam in Google Chrome and bring it downstairs. Then we recited Narottama Prabhor ashtakam with a lot of bliss. Very loudly we recited, we were singing actually. namo namah srila narottamaya namo namah srila narottamaya Then I changed two more rounds of Mahamantra and did some Vayulekhan. And then in the end we sang Hare Krishna Mahamantra for Narottama Dasa Thakur’s pleasure. Then I came back from the cave and I reached the ashrama, I opened up my phone and Nitai Putra Dasa Prabhu had written that today is disappearance day of Narottama Dasa Thakur. I got goosebumps on my body. Because it was such a great coincidence that I did not even know that today is disappearance day of Narottama Dasa Thakur and somehow Radharani gave that inspiration. I went to the cave. I did bhajana. I sang Narottama Prabhor ashtakam and then I came back. And then I came to know that today is Narottama Dasa Thakur’s disappearance. This happened one month ago also when Srivasa Pandit’s disappearance was there. We did katha on Srivasa Pandit accidentally and after the Katha was over, we opened our telegram app and somebody sent that message that today is disappearance day of Srivasa Pandit. Then also I got surprised. So this is the mercy of Nitai that even if you forget the appearance or disappearance of an Acharya, Nitai will make you celebrate that. And let me tell you one another miracle that today I ate after 1 p.m. Accidentally I fasted after noon 12 p.m. and that also was not planned. At 1:30 p.m. I accepted grains before that I just had to glasses of mausami juice. So I was thanking Nitai that Oh Nitai! You are so merciful that I am so neglectful that I did not even check whether today is an appearance tithi or disappearance tithi or not. But You made me celebrate that. And unknowingly I was celebrating Narottama Dasa Thakur’s disappearance. And I was fasting also and celebrating also. This is entirely Nitai’s mercy. (Claps) And we are experiencing this everyday in some form or the other Nitai is bestowing so much mercy. That is why we force so much vigour and zeal and power, we want everyone to take shelter of Nitai because Nitai will surprise you every morning, every afternoon, every evening with new and new miracles. Miracles will become common in your life. Very common. And for entire 30 minutes he was having goosebumps in his body in Narottama Dasa Thakur’s cave. For 30 minutes he was having goosebumps, not for 30 seconds for 30 minutes. For half an hour he was having goosebumps constantly goosebumps. So this is all possible by Nitai’s mercy. For today I think I will wind up now. Tomorrow hopefully Srila Nitaipreshthji Gurudev Ji will come out of his bhajana kutir and give us some real Nitai nectar, not hollow unrealised words like me. I am just speaking mechanically but he speaks from his heart with full realisation. So we will do some kirtana now in the end for 5 or 10 minutes. Then we will have some prasadam. Then bhakti yoga nidra in Radhakund. Not just yoga nidra but bhakti yoga nidra. So now we’ll try to. (Hindi) Sorry main Hindi mein pura anuwad nahi kar paya kyunki samay kam tha aur zyada bolna tha. Abhi hum Nitai ki kripa ki bheek maangege kirtana mein. We will try to gain Nitai’s attention and request Him for His kripa kataksh. Sidelong merciful glance. Not request Him but we will beg. We should beg because Nitai was begging from door to door. He had no ego. Abhimana sunya. He had no ego. (Hindi) unko bheek maangne mein koi sharam nahi aayi, humein bheek maangne mein sharam aati hai. Woh sakshat Bhagwan hone ke baad. He was the Supreme Personality of Godhead and He had no shame, no hesitation, no ego when he went from door to door and he was begging. The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sakshat Balrama Sarva Shaktidhara, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, He was not having any ego in begging and we fallen souls, we vibhinamsha, tathastha shakti, badha jiva, badha souls, we have ego that too in front of the Lord. We may have ego in front of some ordinary person. But why are we having ego in front of the Supreme Personality of Godhead who had no ego in begging from us? He was begging from us and we can’t beg from Him? That is very shameful. So we should not request, we should beg Nitai and for begging we should turn off the lights where we can cry. Shall we turn of the lights? We can turn off the lights. Now the recording can stop.
For 5-10 minutes we will beg which is the Nitai kirtana plus begging session. Srila Gurudev Maharaj ki Jaya! Doyal Nitaichand ki Jaya! Sri Pancha Tattva ki Jaya! Sri Radha Madan Mohan ki Jaya! Sri Radha Gopinatha ki Jaya! Hari nama Sankirtana yajna ki Jaya! Nitai nama Sankirtana yajna ki Jaya! Nitai Gaur Premanande Hari Haribooolll! (Kirtana begins)
We know that Nitai is Guru, Vaishnava and Bhagvan combined. We all know that. Shri Guru Bhakti Bhakta Bhagvanta. So He is bhakta also, He is guru also and He is bhagvan also. And Krishnadas Kaviraj Goswami, when he begins writing Chaitanya Charitamrita, in the very first chapter of Chaitanya Charitamrita, Adi Lila, he glorified Guru, Vaishnavas and Bhagvan. And after glorifying all three, what did he say? He said,
granthera ārambhe kari ‘maṅgalācharaṇa’
guru, vaiṣṇava, bhagavān,—tinera smaraṇa
tinera smaraṇe haya vighna-vināśana
anāyāse haya nija vāñchhita-pūraṇa
(Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita: Adi-lila, 1.20–21)
So Krishnadas Kaviraj Goswami is writing one very important thing. He is saying I have glorified all three, Guru, Vaishnavas and Bhagvan. It is not possible to glorify all the Vaishnavas as we don’t even know about most of them. Vaishnavas are unlimited. Ananta koti Vaishnava-vrinda ki Jaya! So how is this possible? I mean he is also writing the glories of remembering Guru, Vaishnava and Bhagvan, together. He is saying you have to remember all three. Guru, Vaishnavas and Bhagvan. And he is saying if you remember all three, then what will happen? tinera smaraṇe haya vighna-vināśana. All your obstacles will be removed. Any kind of obstacles you are having in bhakti, in material life, in spiritual life, any life, this life, after life, all obstructions, all problems, will be removed by remembering Hari, Guru and Vaishnavas. And anāyāse haya nija vāñchhita-pūraṇa. and quickly, instantly, without any effort all your desires will be fulfilled spontaneously, you know, naturally all your desires will be fulfilled simply by remembering Hari, Guru and Vaishnavas. You don’t need to do anything. Krishna also says in Bhagawad Gita that if you are remembering Me, Me means Hari, Guru and Vaishnavas, then I will provide everything that you lack and will preserve everything that you have.
ananyāś cintayanto māḿ ye janāh paryupāsate
tesāḿ nityābhiyuktānāḿ yoga-ksemaḿ vahāmy aham
( Bhagavad Gita 9.22)
If you remember Me, then I will provide everything that you lack and will preserve that you have. And as far as Gurus are concerned, Krishnadas Kaviraj Goswami is saying one is Shiksha Guru, one is Diksha Guru, one is Chaitya Guru, internal Guru, external Guru, but we know Nitai is Guru of all Gurus. The internal Guru, the Chaitya Guru is Nitai’s son, Virchandra, who is the disciple of Jahnva Mata, Ananga Manjari, who is the wife of Nityananda Ram. Internal Guru, and the external Guru has always to be perceived as manifestation of Nityananda Prabhu. It is written by Srila Prabhupada in the commentaries of the first chapter of Adi Lila of Chaitanya Charitamrita. So internal Guru, external Guru, every Guru is Nitai only ultimately. And Vrindavana Das Thakur is mentioning in Chaitanya Bhagavata that Nitai is Vaishnava Dhama. It is impossible to remember all our Vaishnavas. It is beyond our capacity to even know who all are all the Vaishnavas. We don’t know all the Vaishnavas. But it is easier to remember all of them by doing NITAI VAYULEKHAN as Nitai is the sum total of all Vaishnavas!
And the third one – Bhagwan. When we talk of Bhagvan, Nitai is the most merciful Bhagwan who does not consider any fault, any fall down, any mistake, any anartha, any desire for sense enjoyment, any material desire. He is the most merciful Bhagwan. He is the abode of all Vaishnavas. And He is the Guru of all Gurus. Simply by doing Nitai Vayulekhan, you can remember all three as a shortcut, the greatest shortcut, and all your obstacles will be removed. haya vighna-vināśana. haya nija vāñchhita-pūraṇa. All your desires will be fulfilled. So Nitai Vayulekhan is the greatest benediction for all living entities as per Chaitanya Charitamrita.
To sum, the ultimate perfection for all living entities is to remember Hari, Guru and Vaishnavas, and the safest, easiest and the fastest method of constantly remembering Hari, Guru and Vaishnavas is to constantly do Nitai Vayulekhan. Joy Nitai Vayulekhan! Joy Nitai! Joy Shrila Nitaipreshthji!
You just absorb yourself in Nitai bhajan. Nitai bhajan means Nitai Vayulekhan, Nitai kirtana, Nitai Lila Sravana. You absorb yourself in these activities and you will automatically feel some attachment, spontaneous attachment for dhama, as dhama is a manifestation of Nitai only.
Once you get attached to Nitai, you will try to associate yourself with everything that is Nitai and in one way everything is Nitai because the entire material and spiritual creation is coming from Nitai. But obviously there is a difference between a direct relation and an indirect relation. The external energy is indirectly related to Nitai but the holy dhams, the spiritual abodes of the Lord are directly Nitai, direct manifestations of Nitai. So why won’t you get that intense desire to visit dhama or stay in dhama, once you get attached to Nitai, when you realise that dhama is also Nitai? Obviously you will.
The darshana of the Lord is only possible by first coming to dhama, by first staying in dhama, by first having the desire to see the dhama which the Lord has mercifully manifested in this material world.We are reluctant to see the dhama. We don’t have any desire to see the dhama, how can we have a direct desire to see the Lord? The Lord has manifested the dhama for us so first we should have an intense desire to see the dhama. First we should be vyakula antara (anxious from inside). You know we should be disturbed from inside always, “When will I go to dhama? When will I be able to go to dhama? When will I be able to stay in dhama?” That constant vyakulta (spiritual anxiety) should be there. If you are vyakula (anxious) to see the dhama, then only your desire to see the Lord is genuine. Otherwise it is bogus. Joy Ekachakra! Joy Radhakund!
You know how to seek the lord’s darshana? First seek the darshan of the dhama. That is the first step we have to take. And this is being taught in an expert manner by Shrila Nitaipreshthji. I am just speaking and he is actually staying. And it is said “actions speak louder than words.” He is staying in dhama always. Even if he leaves Ekachakra, he will leave Ekachakra to go to Radha Kunda, not to come to Delhi or Mumbai or Dubai or Switzerland. Dhama to dhama, only dhama. Jeena yahan marna yahan, iske siwa jana kahan. This is Shrila Nitaipreshthji’s motto. (He says) “I have to live in dhama. I have to give up my body in dhama and I have to go to Goloka from dhama to dhama.” He says that the dhama is the airport. The plane will not land anywhere else. Not in Delhi. It is a huge airport in Delhi, in fact two terminals. But the plane of Goloka will not come here. This is not national or international flight. This is interloka flight. Interjagata flight. Loka is also too small you know for bhakti, for devotees. Loka is like going from bhuloka to bhuvarloka to swargaloka. That is for Yogis. This is interjagata flight from Bhautika Jagat (Material World) to Adhyatimika Jagat (Spiritual World). Do you think the Goloka’s plane will land in a city’s airport? That is insult to the plane of Goloka if it will land there. Goloka’s plane will land in Vrindavana. Goloka Vrindavana. Ekachakra’s plane will land in Yogapitha. So simple logic. Gurudev says its simple logic. It is not rocket science. You stay in dhama, you die in dhama, you go to dhama. From dhama to dhama. (Except if you are outside Dham and are fully engaged in carrying out the order of the spiritual master and spreading Nitai’s name… This was told to me by Gurudev)

The fourth chapter of Sri Navadvipa Dham Mahatmaya by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur. We will be directly starting with the verses. Today we don’t have time for kirtana, kirtana we will try to do during the Katha only.
shri-jiva-gosvaami yabe chaadilena ghara nadiyaa nadiyaa bali vyaakula antara (7) candra-dvipa chaadi tenha yata patha cale bhaase dui cakshu taanra nayanera jale (8) haa gauraanga-nityaananda jivera jivana kabe more kripaa kari dibe darashana (9) haa haa navadvipa-dhaama sarva-dhaama saara kabe vaa dekhiba aami bale baarabaara (10) kaishora bayasa jiva sundara gathana vairaagyera paraakaashthaa apurva-darshana (11) chaliyaa chaliyaa katadine mahaashaya navadvipe uttarilaa sadaa prema-maya (12) dura haite navadvipa kari darashana dandavat ha’ye pade paaya acetana (13)

So this is a very beautiful pastime. You see Jiva Goswami is a Manjari, he has left his home and now he has taken off for Navadvipa Dhaam which is non different from Nityananda Rama. He has left his home and he is saying Nadiya Nadiya Nadiya Nadiya, when will I reach Nadiya? He is vyakula antara. It is saidshri-jiva-gosvaami yabe chaadilena ghara nadiyaa nadiyaa bali vyaakula antara (7)
If somebody leaves his home forever, you know forever, a permanent departure from your home, then it is but natural for someone to get vyakula. Anxious. But Jiva Goswami is not an ordinary jiva, he is Goswami, he is not vyakula because he has left his home, his parents, his family, his near and dear ones, he is not vyakula for that. `Oh! I have left my near and dear ones, they must be crying.’ No, Jiva is not ordinary jiva. Jiva is vyakula to get darshana of Navadvipa. Jiva is vyakula to meet his pranath Nitaichanda! He is vyakula for that. (To a devotee) You have to reduce the echo otherwise this already dramatic pastime will become more dramatic. So Jiva Goswami he is very anxious. He is so eager to reach Navadvipa. He cannot wait. The journey it seems so long for him. We materialistic fallen souls when we give up our house, our home then we are vyakula. We are not one pointed in our service to Sri Guru. In our service to the mission, to Nitai. We are always having double thoughts. Vyudha vikalpa. But this is Jiva Goswami. He is going to teach everyone how to overcome vyudha vikalpa. How can he become a victim of vyudha vikalpa? So the very first statement here, the very first word in fact is so ecstatic. Sri Jiva Goswami. Sri! He is Goswami that is why Sri is always with him. Sri means fortune. The meaning of Sri is basically fortune. And if you are a Goswami and if you are Jiva Goswami then obviously you will always going to be fortunate. Sri is always going to accompany you.
shri-jiva-gosvaami yabe chaadilena ghara. He has only left his you know mundane home. He is actually going to his real home. So he is not vyakula to leave his home. He is vyakula for entering into his real home. Apne asli ghar jane ki aasukta hai. Apne nakli ghar ko chodne ka koi dukh nhi hai. Koi pachtava nhi hai. There is no regret. And he is going to meet Nitai, so what is the need of having any regrets in the heart when you are going to meet your Lord? This is such a beautiful pastime. This one verse only I think we will cover today. (Laughs) Actually whenever I read this word chaadilena ghara, then I always remember Nitai only because Nitai is the Lord of all full time devotees. You see we have Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami. When Nitai appeared in his dream, then only Krishna Das left his home. In fact Nitai only instructed him to leave his home.
(HINDI)`Are Are Krishna Das tumi jao Vrindavana. Tumi chodo isse. Apne ghar ko chodo. Tumi jao Vrindavana. Are Are Krishna Das.’ Raghunatha Das Goswami, Rati Manjari, when he met Nitai in Panihatti, then also Nitai said- `Oh Das Goswami! Tumi jao Puri Dhaam. Tumi jao Jagannatha Puri. Tumi meet your pranath Gauranga. All your obstacles will be taken care of by me. Prabhu Balram Ami Sarva Shakti Dhora. I am omnipotent. If I want you to go to Puri and meet your pranath Gauranga, then who can stop you? Your gaurds will stop you? Do you really think they are more powerful than me. I am Matta Simha. Won’t they be afraid of me if I will become a lion? I will not you know kill them by being a lion. I will just roar. (Roars) My hunkaar is kafi. My hunkaar is sufficient I will say- Ha Gauranga! Ha Gauranga! Ha Gauranga! Ha Gauranga! When you will be running out of your home, the gaurds will try to catch you and I will provide such a ecstatic background music that while catching you they will faint in ecstacy. (Laughs). My background music will be like this. (Aside) Where is my kartal? Where is my weapon? Oh! There is it.
(Kirtana starts) Ha Gauranga! Ha Gauranga! Ha Gauranga! Ha Gauranga! Ha Gauranga!
My dear Vrindavana Das Thakur uses the word lion for me. But don’t think if I am a lion, I am going to be fatal, I am going to be really dangerous. I am a lion, I roar. I roar the lord’s name so that everybody can hear, you know. In a jungle if a small animal will produce its sound the donkey will start braying or the monkey will start doing (makes sound) then will all the animals of the jungle hear? Obviously no. But if a lion comes out of his den and he does Haaaa (roars) then all the animals will hear. So just for the sake of preaching dear Raghunatha Das, I roar. I am a lion. Vrindavana Das Thakur uses the word lion. So there are only two possibilities. Either your gaurds will also start running for Puri, they will get so much love for Gauranga. Or they will faint here. So in both the ways your work is done. You are definitely going to go to Puri. I will remove all the obstacles, don’t worry. I am the Lord of the full time devotees. If you want to get full time, just do Nitai Vayulekhan. You will very soon become full time. And the third you see Jiva Goswami. First two, Nitai was the first person they saw before leaving the house and for Jiva Goswami Nitai is the first person whom Jiva Goswami met after leaving the house. So once again Nitai is the Lord of the full time devotees. Either you become full time because of Nitai or you meet Nitai first after becoming full time. You do Nitai prachar. Or you meet Nitaipreshthji who is non different from Nitai. So when we leave our house we first go to Ekachakra (everyone laughs) and take shelter of Nitaipreshthji. Because in Ekachakra there is no police and no parents. There is no fear of anything. So this is the first verse. I am sorry for the long commentary. We are definitely going to complete this session in this month (everyone laughs). nadiyaa nadiyaa bali vyaakula antara. So this is the seventh verse of the fourth chapter and if you will read this verse, the 13th verse of this chapter. Lucky 7 and unlucky 13.
The 13th verse is – dura haite navadvipa kari darashana dandavat ha’ye pade paaya acetana (13)
So because Jiva Goswami was so anxious throughout his journey to have darshana of Navadvipa, that is why when he actually had darshana of Navadvipa, he fainted. You will ask we also visit Ekachakra. We also visit Radha Kunda, sometimes Mayapur also and rarely Jagannatha Puri. But we never get acetana. We never fall down in ecstacy. Why so? So my dear friends the simple answer is that you are Go-das and he is Goswami. He is Jiva Goswami. We cannot imitate him. We cannot have so much attachment for Dhaam. We cannot have so much love for Dhaam as Jiva Goswami had. Because he is Jiva Goswami. Because he is a Nitya siddha. Because he is a Manjari. So then why are we discussing this? We cannot become nitya siddha just like that. We cannot become Jiva Goswami just like that. What is our lesson from this thing? That Jiva Goswami is having so much anxiety, so much eagerness, so much greed to have darshana of Navadvipa and finally when he came in front of Navadvipa he fainted. So you see a very positive symptom of love and ecstacy. But what is our take on this? What can we learn from this? We can only learn Nitai’s mercy. How? Jiva Goswami says in the fifth chapter of Navadvipa Dhaam Mahatmaya.
He saysohe prabhu, tumi çeña-tattvera nidäna dhäma-rüpa näma-tattva tomäri vidhäna (78) (NDM Chapter 5, verse 78) Nityananda Rama! Nityananda Rama! Nityananda Rama! Nityananda Rama!
Srila Jiva Goswami says- “O Prabhu, You are the cause of the manifestation of Anantadeva Sesha. You expand yourself as the holy abode (dhama) and the holy name (nama). Both are your expansions. Nama and dhama. And you are the shelter of the Supreme Lord’s many forms. You are the avtari. Oh Nitai!” So for us the only hope is Nitai. We cannot have attachment and love for dhama which Jiva Goswami has because Jiva Goswami was a nitya siddha. But it does not mean that all doors are closed for us. It does not mean that there is no hope for us because whenever a hopeless situation arises we only remember whom? We remember Nitai! Whenever we come to a position, a dead end. Dead end. Whenever we reach a position where you cannot find any way. Where to go, how to go, when to do? Then you simply remember Nitai and you will see the way is opening. Khul ja sim sim. Apko rasta apne aap dikh jayga. So we cannot artificially imitate Jiva Goswami. Oh I have seen Radha Kunda, I should faint now. I am fainting. Sorry I can’t copy Jiva Goswami. I can’t fall down like this. But you see he fainted because of his attachment for dhama because of his greed to see dhama which we do not have. But who is dhama? Dhama is Nitai. So the more you do Nitai Vayulekhan, the more you hear Nitai Katha, the more you do Nitai kirtana, the more you absorb yourself in Nitai, without making any separate effort for getting attached to dhama, you will realise that you have got attached to dhama. Because dhama is Nitai.

You will realise that automatically. So I will discuss the meaning of these verses.
The next verse iscandra-dvipa chaadi tenha yata patha cale bhaase dui cakshu taanra nayanera jale (8)
Candradvépa is his home town. He has chaadi, he has left his Candradvépa. tenha yata patha cale. Now the entire journey, yata patha cale means during his entire journey. bhaase dui cakshu taanra nayanera jale. During his entire journey tears are flowing from his eyes constantly. And this journey was not a 4 hours journey or 5 hours journey, this journey was of many days. In the coming verses you will come to know that. nayanera jale. I will not give long commentaries otherwise we will not be able to complete anything. It is not required to complete everything but still these things are self explanatory. Bhaktivinoda Thakur is using such a simple Bengali language that I don’t even need to explain. If I explain too much then that will be an offense to Bhaktivinoda Thakur’s simplicity. Bhaktivinoda Thakur is saying I am serving you everything readymade and now you want to simplify it even more. So wherever commentary is really required I will give otherwise we can proceed.
haa gauraanga-nityaananda jivera jivana kabe more kripaa kari dibe darashana (9)
So Jiva Goswami is manifesting his greed to see the dhama and to see the Lord. But first he is manifesting the greed to see the Lord. Ekachakra’s plane will land in Yogapitha. So simple logic. Gurudev says its simple logic. It is not rocket science. You stay in dhama, you die in dhama, you go to dhama. From dhama to dhama.
Today morning we had a very strong lecture now I am trying to be soft otherwise everybody will think that these Nitai devotees are like really lions. But sometimes we should be soft also. We have done little chanting of Gauranga Mantra also. But Gauranga also roars. So I don’t know which Mantra is acting on us now. Vrinda Devi. Tulsi Maharani. Vrindadevi Ashtakam. The soft leaves, the manjaris they are making us soft. Otherwise Nitai Gaura are both very strong. One out of compassion, one out of anger and passion. Nitai is also in a very deep voice, grave voice. In a very grave voice He told Krishna Das. Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami is himself saying that Nitai spoke to me in a very grave voice. Su gambhira. Vani su gambhira. Su gambhira.
Sohaa haa navadvipa-dhaama sarva-dhaama saara kabe vaa dekhiba aami bale baarabaara (10)
He is only repeating these two statements. Ha ha Gauranga Nityananda! Ha ha Navadvipa dhama! When will I see all of you?
kaishora bayasa jiva sundara gathana vairaagyera paraakaashthaa apurva-darshana (11)
Jiva Goswami is very beautiful and handsome. He is very youthful. Kishore Sundar gathana. His built is very beautiful and he is youthful. vairaagyera paraakaashthaa apurva-darshana. Vairagyera paraakaashthaa. Now this is another lesson for us. You don’t have to adopt the path of vairagya when you are no longer sunder, no longer youthful, no longer handsome, when you are no longer kishor. Don’t think I will be become a vairagi when I will become a budha. When I will become old man, then I will take the path of renunciant. No. Jiva Goswami is Jagat Guru. The six Goswamis are Jagat Gurus. They are teaching us. What are they teaching us? When you are kishor become vairagyera paraakaashtaaa, otherwise in old age you will never become even kanishtha in vairagya path because the entire life sanskaras will torment you so much, it will become very difficult to detach. So he is teaching. What Bhaktivinoda Thakur is writing, in the first line he is writing he is kishor and in the second line he is writing vairagyera paraakaashthaa. The Goswamis they are always exemplary so we should learn from them. But why from young age we should inculcate this mood of vairagya? Otherwise neither we will be able to practice nor will we able to preach. (HINDI) Na achar kar paayenge na prachar kar paayenge. Agar iss samsar se attach rahenge toh. Thoda vairagya rahega tabhi toh seva kar paayenge. Tabhi toh prachar kar paayenge. Tabhi toh achar kar paayenge. So don’t wait to get 50 years old. Many devotees they leave bhakti because they think I have started too early I think. Pehle do saal krte hai fir sochte hai main abhi toh jawan hun. Maine kuch jaldi bhakti shuru kardi. Mere umar ke log abhi toh yeh kar rahe hai woh kar rahe hai. Apni aisi taisi kara rahe hai. Main bhi karana chahta hun aisi taisi. Bhakti karungi prabhuji chinta mat karo. Bhagwan par Ehsaan karunga chinta mat karo 50 saal ki umar mein. Bete tab goli khake hi marega. Maala waala toh kuch nhi hogi. Vayulekhan ke liye haath bhi nhi uthega. Kahega prabhuji main toh mansika Vayulekhan kar rha hun. Bahut advanced bhakti na. Advanced age mein maine bhakti shuru kari. Young age mein nhi kari isiliye advanced bhakta hun main. Arrey yaar. Toh this we should learn. Jo bhi apki umar hai woh kam mat smjhna ki abhi toh kam hai. Thoda badhne do. Phal ko pakne do. Abhi toh main kacha hun. Bhagwan kya khayenge abhi toh main meetha bhi nhi hua. Pehle pakk jaun fir Bhagwan khayenge. Naye naye reason aate hai na. Abhi toh main Bhagwan mein pura dhyan nhi de paaungi. Busy hun na family kife, responsibility aur yeh woh. Ek baar mein sbse door ho jaun fir main Bhagwan ko khush karunga. Ek baar pakk jaun fir main. Abhi toh main kacha hun. Arrey bhai tum pakne mein aur time lagaoge kya. Kadodo janam laga diye tumne iss samsar mein, abhi aur pakkna baki hai kya? Bhagwan keh rahe hai main kacha hi kha lunga ek baar mere paas toh aaja. Nhi thoda aur 20 saal. 20 saal mein asthama ka attack padega thode aur janam lagenge. Saal ke chakar mein janam mein chale jaoge. Isiliye risk mat lo. Abhi pakna baki nhi hai. Bahut janam ho gaye honge. brahmāṇḍa bhramite kona bhāgyavān jīva. Ghoom ghoom ke ghoom ghoom ke. punarapi jananam punarapi maranam punarapi jananii jathare shayanamh iha satmsaare bahudustaare kripayaa apaare paahi muraare (Bhaja Govindam by Adi Sankacharya) You should be desperate to be accepted by the Lord as your own. When Jiva Goswami met Nitai, Nitai accepted him as His own. You will come to know this. Saara suspense toh main khol hi raha hun. This is beautiful. Another lesson we can learn from these verses. No age is early. Whenever you can start that is the perfect age. Just give your 100%. Otherwise it can be too late and it can be too risky. You don’t know when you will die. You can die tomorrow also.
chaliyaa chaliyaa katadine mahaashaya navadvipe uttarilaa sadaa prema-maya (12)
Jaya Jiva Goswami! Jaya Vaishnava Thakur! So Jiva Goswami is chaliyaa chaliyaa. He is walking and walking. He is not sitting in a bullock cart or in a SUV or in a bullet train or in a flight. He is chaliyaa chaliyaa. He is walking. katadine mahaashaya. Two lessons which I can derive from this with my limited intelligence and realisations is that the very moment your feet will start moving towards dhama, that very moment you become mahaashaya. That is not your qualification. That is the glorification of dhama. (HINDI) Jis shkana (moment) apke charana, apke charana nhi apke paer. Aap sab Nitai bhakta ho isliye charana bol rahan hun. Jis shkana apke charana dhama ki aur chalna shuru hote hai. Chaliya chaliya. Uss hi samay aap mahan ban jate ho. Aur yeh apki visheshta nhi hai. Apki nirneye ki visheshta nhi hai. Yeh dhama ki mahima hai. Jo dhama ki taraf chalta hai woh mahana banta hai. Yeh Navadvipa Dhaam Mahatmaya ke pehle chapter mein likha hai. Pramana hai mere paas. Second lesson which we can derive from this is that you should never be lazy to go to dhama. You should never think that oh! It is a 5 hour journey from Delhi to Radha Kunda. It is 20 hour journey from Mumbai to Radha Kunda or it is a one day journey from Mumbai to Ekachakra. We are counting. If we go to the extent of one day then immediately we think oh! It will be very hectic. It will be very tiring. Let’s postpone the programme. Then your ticket to Goloka will also be postponed. Because this dhama also you are postponing, then real dhama also. This is also real dhama. The dhama in the spiritual world. Your entry in the spiritual dhama will also be postponed my dear brother. So we postpone because we are afraid of the journey. The long journey. We think it is long. But see Jiva Goswami he is real mahashaya. He is walking first of all. This is the difference. We are never walking towards the dhama. We are never doing padayatra like Mahaprabhu went from Puri to Vrindavana. He never sat in a bullock cart, He was always walking. He wanted to show… He wanted to properly respect the dhama by walking towards the dhama. And see koto dine. Bhaktivinoda Thakur is saying after many days of walking. Many days of walking, Srila Jiva Goswami, he finally reached Navadvipa. And for us even one day is too long. That is the difference between badha jiva and nitya siddha jiva. Jiva Goswami is nitya siddha jiva. Once again don’t be afraid if you can’t become nitya siddha, you can atleast do Nitai Vayulekhan! That will increase your attachment for dhama and that way one day you will also never feel that the journey is too long. When you have greed, you have attachment for dhama, then will you ever think that the journey is so long? Like Bilvamangala Thakur he was so attached to the prostitute, so did he find the journey very troublesome? Did he find any struggle? In that night when his father died and there was a storm and he had to cross the river using a dead body and he has to climb the wall using a snake, considering it as a rope. At midnight he was doing this. It was raining heavily. Did he ever feel any struggle? Why didn’t he feel struggle? Because he was attached to the prostitute. This attachment is a very strong weapon. A very strong force. It can make you do many things. And later on he became Bilvamangala just because he got attached to the Lord. And his writings were heard by Sri Chaitanya when he was in Gambhira in gambhir Radha bhaav. Gambhira means that place where Mahaprabhu relished Radha-bhav. And meaning of Gambhira is that only gambhir devotees can read that pastime, hear that pastime, understand that pastime, remember that pastime, absorb that pastime. If you are not a gambhir devotee, don’t try to enter into it. Don’t try to enter the pastimes of Gambhira of Chaitanya Charitamrita. That is why Mahaprabhu chose to remain in Gambhira. It is like a warning also. If you are gambhir then only come inside otherwise stay outside. So let us come back to the point. So once again I am saying don’t lose hope if you are not able to walk for many days and you think the journey is too long, just do Vayulekhan for many hours during the day. And naturally everything will fall in place. Everything will get okay. Everything will sound like the scriptures. This theory will become practice for you. This theory you know, you are never able to relate. Nobody is able to relate to such high level theory until and unless he is a Nitai bhakta. If you are a Nitai bhakta then only you can relate to goosebumps, to shivering, to trembling, to crying. If you are not a Nitai bhakta then very sorry you can never feel this Gaudiya literature. You can never feel this, you know nectarean Bengali verses of Bhaktivinoda Thakur, of Vrindavana Das Thakur, of Krishna Das Kaviraj Goswami, you can never feel them in reality. You can only read them as verse. But if you are a Nitai bhakta then you can actually feel them, experience them, execute them, practice them. You can translate theory into practice simply by doing Nitai Vayulekhan. dura haite navadvipa kari darashana dandavat ha’ye pade paaya acetana (13) You see all our Goswamis, their favorite pastime was dandavat. The six Goswamis they became Goswamis by doing dandavat. And after the six Goswamis, the six Goswamis never took sanyas. But after the six Goswamis and after Baldev Vidyabhushan, after Jagannatha Das Babaji, after Bhaktivinoda Thakur, after Gaur Kishor Das Babaji then finally in our Parampara. Once it was taken by Prabhodanada Saraswati Thakur and some other devotees during Gauranga’s pastimes and now in the recent past that sanyas was taken by Bhaktisiddhnatha Saraswati Thakur and was given by Bhaktisiddhnatha Saraswati Thakur to many qualified souls and those qualified souls have given sanyas to many more qualified souls. So you will ask what is the criterion or what is the eligibility or what is qualification to hold the tridanda? That is dandavat. Do dandavat and hold the danda. Without doing dandavats, thousands and thousands of dandavats you will never become a true Sanyasi, you will never become a true vairagi, you will never become a true Goswami. In order to become a Goswami and Sanyasi, you don’t need to be too opulent in your dressing and in your eating. You don’t need to become very royal to become a Goswami. You need to become more humbler than a blade of grass. You need to make dandavat your hobby. Just do dandavats in the dhama to all dhama vasis, just do dandavats. To all Vaishnavas, do dandavats again and again. You just need to keep a photo of your Guru in front of you right in the morning and you start doing dandavats. One mala of dandavats to your Guru and then you start doing Nitai Vayulekhan and chanting and you will feel the difference. You offer prostrated obeisances to Vrinda Devi, Tulsi Maharani in your house whenever you see her. That dandavat, that obeisance will help you so much you can’t imagine. As soon as you bow down doing dandavats automatically the nama ruchi comes. There is a strong connection. Kirtanaya sada Hari. If you will be more humble than a blade of grass, if you become humble then automatically you will get that desire to glorify the Lord always. You will get that desire to chant the name always. You will get that desire to do Vayulekhan. But Vayulekhan is very unique you know because it will actually make you more humble than a blade of grass. So Vayulekhan is always unique. That is why our mission is Nitai Vayulekhan Mission. It will improve the quality of your Hare Krishna Mahamantra. So we don’t want to name it Hare Krishna mission, we want to name it Nitai Vayulekhan Mission. Because Nitai is the cause of all auspiciousness for the fallen souls, for the nitya siddha souls, the eternally liberated souls. He is vishudha sattva, pure spiritual energy and the embodiment of auspiciousness. So the next few verses we will do in the next program. Our time is almost up. Dhama is different from tirtha. Tirtha means where Ganga flows, Yamuna flows. And these tirthas are there like Gangotri, Yamunotri, different tirthas are there. You don’t need to go anywhere. Because when we are doing Nitai katha, Nitai mahima, then they are getting attracted towards that place where katha is going on. You don’t need to go there. Ganga is flowing, Yamuna is flowing, Saraswati is flowing, Narmada, Tapi, Krishna, Kaveri, Godavari all the rivers are flowing in that place where Nitai Katha and Nitai kirtana is going. Devotees- Haribooolll! And you are taking bath and you are getting purified. Don’t worry about that at all. Don’t need to go anywhere to take bath. Just hear Nitai Katha and the rivers will come and bathe you. No need to take your body to the river and bathe yourself. Just hear Nitai Katha regularly and attentively. The rivers will regularly come and bathe you. Ohh you are listening to Nitai Katha, I will bathe you. I want to have your association because you are hearing Nitai katha. This is so high. Bhakton ko dukh mein dekha Advaita Acharya ne ki sab bhakta dukha mein hai aur naastikon ki shakti badhti ja rahi hai. Atheistic log strong hote ja rahe hai. Stronger sharper taller Horlicks pee pee ke itne shaktishali hote ja rahe hai. Advaita Acharya ko khundak chad gyi. Gussa aa gya Advaita Acharya ko, keh rahe hai main chaar haath prakat kar dunga, do haath se maar dunga do haath se samskar kar dunga last mein. Chakra gada se maarunga aur kamala aur shankha se aarti utarunga, mukti dilaunga. Fir Advaita Acharya ke gusse pe medidate kar karke kar karke kar karke, mujhe yeh samajh mein aya ki unke dhama ka nama Shantipura kyun hai. (Everyone laughs) Advaita Acharya ko shaanta karne ke liye. Kyunki Advaita Acharya toh Simha hai. Kissi aire gaire se mil liye jisne bhakti ke ilawa kuch aur bola, muh khola toh jis vocal chord se usne kuch bola woh vocal chord se chakra uska gala kholega. Uske vocal chord hi tod dega. Toh isliye ab main samjha ki unke dhama ka special nama hai Shantipura. Advaita Acharya ko shaanta rakhne ke liye. Kyunki woh toh sher hai jab marzi dahar denge. Bachpan mein hi dahar diye. Unka koi mitra tha unke saath. Unka mitra bola tum Durga ko Pranaam karo. Advaita Acharya bol rahe hai chup rahe. Main nahi kr raha. I can’t do this. She will not accept this. Woh dost bola bhai aise mat kar. You don’t have etiquette. Temple etiquette. If you are standing in front of diety do Pranaam. Advaita Acharya said please don’t insist. Mere andar ka sher mat jaga. Then he again said please Kamlaksha, I am your well-wisher, I don’t want you to make a mistake in the temple. Please do Pranaam. Advaita Acharya said (made a roaring noise) why you are insisting? And that day his friend almost died. His friend fainted and almost died. Then Advaita Acharya had to make special request to revive him. So that is why the name of his dhama is Shantipura because many a times he becomes like ashanta tiger like lion. This is another small realisation which I had today evening after the Katha during Nitai Vayulekhan. Kirtana karna hai. Kirtana. Kirtana.
